Top Ten Tuesday - Top 10 Bookish Things I'd Like to Own
'Top Ten Tuesday' is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Lately I've seen some other book bloggers being quite enthusiastic about this weekly meme, so I decided to join in with the fun and try it out myself as well!
Top Ten Bookish Things That I'd Like to Own
I love this week's top 10 for the Top Ten Tuesday feature! Obviously, I love love love books and I'm always on the look-out for nice bookish things to add to my collection! Today I'm excited to share some of the things on my wish-list with all of you; if you know any other bookish things you think I might like, be sure to leave a comment or get in touch through Twitter! :)
1. Once Upon a Time Bookends
I love bookends; they come in all kinds of fun shapes and sizes and I have some great ones at home. I found these lovely 'Once upon a time' bookends on the Internet a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with them!
Unfortunately, this pretty bookshelf skirt by Garnet Hill is no longer available; I love it and think it's incredibly cute. I love all kinds of clothing with books on them, but this skirt is definitely one of the prettiest book-related clothing items I've ever seen!
3. Book Sketch Tote Bag
I own way too many tote bags, but I personally think they're just really handy and there are so many of these bags with a cute pattern or nice print on them. This one designed by Megan Claire is perfect for bookworms; I love how simple it is and the quote on it is great as well.
I love decorating my apartment with all kinds of things that show what I love or enjoy doing. I already have a poster of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice', because it's one of my all-time favourite novels, but I've been on the look-out for something else, something about books in general. I really like this framed poster by Bookishly with a great quote about reading; love it!
Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved quilts. They're very comfortable, obviously, but I love the patterns and how pretty they can be. I currently have a quilt which I got from my parents, and I love it, but I'd definitely like to have a quilt that features books in a particular way, like the one on this picture.
6. 'Pride and Prejudice' Ipad/Kindle Cover
For my birthday last year I received an amazing present which I immediately fell in love with: a 'Pride & Prejudice' cover for my Ipad (picture on the left). I love how the cover makes the Ipad look like an actual book, and the fact that it features one of my favourite novels makes it even more fabulous! I found this other pretty P&P Kindle cover (picture on the right) on the Internet a few days ago and have fallen in love with it... Guess this means I'll have to get a Kindle, right?
A good book and a nice warm cup of tea go perfectly together, and having a lovely book-related cup to drink your tea from makes it even better! I have a big collection of literary cups, and I love adding new ones, such as this lovely 'Mary Poppins' cup!
9. Book Staircase Stickers
How brilliant is this?! I love the idea of turning a normal staircase into something special by adding the titles of books to the different steps. It really adds a personal touch, especially if you pick books that mean something to you.
10. Book Cushions
How cute are these book cushions to put on your couch, in a chair or on top of your bed? I love them; they're so colourful!
These are just a few examples of the numerous amazing bookish things the world has to offer! Which bookish things are on your wish-list? I'd love to hear from you!
