I’m delighted to be part of the blog tour for Aimee Duffy’s ‘Sinfully Summer’ today! Alexa Green is known as a wild, rich party-girl and because of that extremely popular with the paparazzi. While on a dare during a girls-holiday in Marbella with two of her friends, Alexa suddenly ends up in the penthouse of businessman and hotel owner Enrique Castillo, known as Ric, only wearing her underwear. The heat between the two of them is undeniable, and Ric takes a chance with Alexa by asking her to help him organise an important charity ball. This is the start of a steamy collaboration, one that can only end one way...

So far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Harper Impulse quick and contemporary romance stories I’ve read and Aimee Duffy is definitely another writer to add to that list of promising authors! The chemistry between Alexa and Ric simply sparked off the pages, and I was just shouting at the both of them to just get together! I loved the fact that the story is told from both a male and female perspective which gives the reader insight into Alexa’s and Ric’s thoughts and feelings. Alexa appears to be a spoiled and stubborn rich girl, but she knows her reputation is important and doesn’t shy away from a bit of hard work. Ric might seem a bit distant and superior at first, but as the story progresses we also learn more about him. I definitely would have loved for this story to have been a longer novel, so I could have learned even more about these characters, their backgrounds, and the reasons for their actions. 

Aimee Duffy’s writing style was really pleasant to read; well-paced, detailed, and the author obviously has a knack for sexual tension: wow! From the first few pages I was transported to sunny Marbella and I could almost smell the sea and feel the sand between my toes. ‘Sinfully Summer’ is a quick, hot, and sensual summer read; another wonderful Harper Impulse read, and definitely a great book to pick up for a day on the beach, but also if you simply want to pretend you’re on the beach!
