Top Ten Tuesday - 10 Books That Will Make You Laugh

'Top Ten Tuesday' is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. I love making lists, so this feature fits me perfectly! If you also take part in this feature or have any additions to my lists, please get in touch; I'd love to hear from you!

10 Books That Will Make You Laugh

If I'm completely honest I have to admit I had a bit of difficulty with this week's Top 10 list! I don't really read many books that really crack me up. However, there are of course numerous reads that make me laugh once or twice, but those were not the kind of reads I wanted to add to this top 10. In the end, I managed to come up with several authors that definitely never fail to make me laugh while reading one of their novels, but I look forward to seeing other people's lists this week and hopefully get some inspiriation for other funny reads!

Be sure to share your own TTT's in the comments section below; I'd love to hear from you!

1. 'I Heart...' series by Lindsey Kelk

This continues to be one of my favourite chick lit series and Lindsey Kelk is an author that never manages to crack me up with her writing.

2. 'Bridget Jones's Diary' by Helen Fielding

I'm not the biggest Bridget Jones fan, but I have to admit the first part of the series really is quite funny and I can't help but secretly have a soft spot for Bridget and her antics.

3. 'No-One Ever Has Sex in the Suburbs' by Tracy Bloom

So incredibly funny <3

4. 'The Twelve Dates of Christmas' by Lisa Dickenson

Lisa Dickenson falls within the same category as Tracy Bloom and Lindsey Kelk. Her writing is just so funny and I love everything about it!

5. 'Shopaholic' series by Sophie Kinsella

Chick lit at its best, and Sophie Kinsella is another author who definitely manages to make readers smile when reading her novels, if you ask me.

6. 'How to Stuff Up Christmas' by Rosie Blake

Rosie Blake really has her own sense of humour and this happens to be a sense of humour I can really appreciate it. I loved 'How to Stuff Up Christmas'; it really cracked me up.

7. 'The List' by Joanna Bolouri

I really enjoyed this novel and can specifically remember how it made me laugh out loud while I was sitting on the train home.

8. 'Boy Meets Girl' by Meg Cabot

Meg Cabot is incredibly funny as well, I really enjoy her writing.

9. 'You Had Me at Merlot' by Lisa Dickenson

Couldn't help but add another Lisa Dickenson book to this list!

10. 'Harry Potter' series by J.K. Rowling

I think Harry Potter has a bit of everything, definitely including humour. There are some great passages in the series that make me laugh every single time I read them, so this series also deserves a spot on this week's top 10!

  1. I do enjoy Lindsey Kelk and Rosie Blake novels, and the first book in the Bridget Jones series. Their stories are tinged with humor, and will surely make the readers laugh their hearts out.
