Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Author Duos I'd Love to See Write a Book Together

'Top Ten Tuesday' is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. I love making lists, so this feature fits me perfectly! If you also take part in this feature or have any additions to my lists, please get in touch; I'd love to hear from you!

Top 10 Author Duos I'd Love to See Write a Book Together

It's Tuesday which means it's time for another Top Ten Tuesday book top 10! This week's topic is author duos I'd love to see write a book together; a fun topic but also one that made me think! I switched around authors multiple times, deciding who would work really well together, but in the end am quite happy with my list. And am keeping my fingers crossed some of them will see this list and be inspired! ;-)

Be sure to share your own TTT's in the comments section below; I'd love to hear from you!

1. J.K. Rowling & Jane Austen

Two of my favourite authors of all time; there's no doubt that a novel written by the both of them would be just amazing. Slight problem is that Jane Austen has been dead for quite some time... but a girl can dream, right?

2. Lisa Dickenson & Lindsey Kelk

Lindsey Kelk's and Lisa Dickenson's novels always make me laugh so much, so the two of them teaming up to write a chick lit novel would end up in a hilarious novel all chick lit fans would devour, I'm 100% sure!

3. Miranda Dickinson & Ali McNamara

Ali McNamara and Miranda Dickinson are another two of my personal favourite chick lit authors and I think their writing styles are quite similar. I am positive they would manage to come up with something brilliant together, and I would be the first one to pick it up.

4. Cathy Bramley & Lucy Robinson

I got the chance to read my first Lucy Robinson novel earlier this year and fell in love with her amazing writing style. I think Cathy Bramley and Lucy Robinson have different styles, but would complement each other really well, resulting in a pretty fantastic read.

5. Amanda Prowse & Nicholas Sparks

If Amanda Prowse and Nicholas Sparks would write a novel together, I'd definitely need at least two boxes of tissues to get through it! However, both these authors write such emotional and beautiful stories I think they would come up with something quite amazing together.

6. Rachel Hollis & Emily Liebert

I've fallen in love with both Rachel Hollis and Emily Liebert over the past two years. Their novels are such great reads and I think they would make a great team together.

7. Stephenie Meyer & E.L. James

Haha, I just couldn't help myself and added this duo to my list as well. Come on, aren't any of you curious what this mix-up would come to?!

8. Meg Cabot & Ann Brashares

Meg Cabot and Ann Brashares are authors that immediately take me back a few years. I loved their novels when I was at the end of my teens and their stories always bring back good memories. Combining their stories would be great and a lovely trip down memory lane.

9. Cecelia Ahern & Giovanna Fletcher

A novel with Cecelia Ahern's touch of magic and Giovanna Fletcher's feel for romance would be a book that would become one of my favourites; I just know it!

10. Emily Giffin & Sophie Kinsella

Two of the queens of chick lit working together on a novel, do I even have to explain my reasoning for this one?

  3. Love the Stephanie Meyer and E.L. James idea. Wonder if they could even stand working together. I am not a big fan of Anastasia or Bella so I would hate to see what kind of female character they could come up with together.

    1. I know, I also wonder whether they would even consider the idea if they were offered a lot of money... Thanks for stopping by, Barb!

  6. I love that you paired Rowling with Austen! I didn't even think of that because I couldn't imagine anyone who could pair with Queen Rowling but I totally think it could work. I paired Austen with Bronte because I'd like to see what comes from a gothic writer and a more satirical one.

    Great List!
