Hi! 

First of all, welcome to 'A Spoonful of Happy Endings' and thanks so much for visiting! I started this blog in March 2013; I'm enjoying it a lot and I hope you, as a reader, are enjoying my blog as well! :)

My name is Jody, I'm 29 years old and live in the Netherlands. Reading has been my favourite pastime for as long as I can remember and I love nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a blanket, a cup of tea and a good book! It wasn't a big surprise to the people around me when I started studying English Literature at university, followed by a Research Master's degree in Literary Studies. At the end of my degree I specialised in anything Jane Austen, and she is still one of my favourite authors of all time. 

I love all kinds of books, but the genre I read the most definitely has to be chick lit. I'm a sucker for a good love story (and preferably a happy ending!) and I just love everything chick lit is all about. I decided to share my love for books with others through this blog, and so far I've already discovered the chick lit blogging community is a lovely place with lots of friendly and welcoming people. 

I hope my reviews and love for books will perhaps inspire readers to pick up a book as well and at the same time I think it is the perfect way of capturing my own book experiences on paper for myself.
